10 Day Package Gorongosa National Park & Matemo Island Lodge
Fly from Johannesburg to Beira Airport in Mozambique, from where you have a transfer to Gorongosa National Park – a scenic drive of approximate 3 hours. At Chitengo Camp you will receive a warm welcome from your guiding team. Enjoy your first game drive en route to the Explore Gorongosa camp, where you will stay for 4 nights in a semi luxury Safari Tent on a Fully Inclusive basis with all game activities included. Spend the next three days enjoying all the majestic sights and wonders of Gorongosa National Park, a truly exceptional place with a remarkable history and ongoing conservation project.
On the 5th day you will be transferred back to Beira and fly to Pemba, in north Mozambique. The flight from Pemba over the Quirimbas Archipelago is truly breathtaking! On arrival you will be transferred to Matemo Island by plane after which you check in in your own luxury beach chalet.
The next 5 days you can choose to enjoy as many or as little as you wish – go diving in the azure waters of the Indian Ocean or visit the historical Ibo Island, home to silversmiths that still practise their craft in the old fashioned way. Or simply relax on the beach whilst you enjoy an ice cold cocktail. After a wonderful stay at Matemo Island, on a fully inclusive basis you get back to Pemba and fly back to Johannesburg.
