Day 1-3: Arusha (Half Board)
After a warm welcome at Kilimanjaro Airport, transfer to your hotel to relax and get ready for your safari!
Day 2 & 3: Tarangire National Park (Full Board)
From Arusha you will drive leisurely towards Tarangire National Park. Have lunch with stunning views of the surrounding area. In the afternoon, you can go for a guided walk to the nearby lake. The next day, it’s an early rise to explore Tarangire. The park is particularly known of the large herds of elephants and the diversity in scenery, with the Tarangire river, swamps and large baobab trees.
Day 4: The Maasai and Great Rift Valley (Full Board)
We leave the home of the elephants and head to the Great Rift Valley. En route, you will visit an authentic Maasai boma where Mama Yamath and her family live.
Day 5 & 6: Serengeti National Park (Full Board)
Today you continue to the vast plains of the Serengeti, Africa's most famous national park. You will stay in a tented camp that gives you the unique "Out of Africa" feeling. Enjoy a full day to discover the wilderness of the Serengeti. Explore the incredible concentration of wildlife such as lions, leopards, cheetahs, hippos, giraffes, elephants and wildebeests.
Kukummi tip:
We highly recommend booking a Hot Air Balloon trip (optional extra).
A hot air balloon safari over one of Africa’s most famous and majestic national parks is not easily captured in words. The quiet of floating over plains, the exhilaration of climbing into the pink-blue of the early dawn on invisible currents, the breathless awe of peering over the basket’s edge at this vast swathe of wild Africa. Take off is at dawn and a champagne bush breakfast completes this must-do adventure.
Day 7 & 8: Ngorongoro Crater (Full Board)
Even on the last day in the Serengeti, you may encounter animals that you have not spotted before. With a final game drive, we head to back the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you will spend the night near the Ngorongoro Crater. Early morning you descend via the steep slopes into the Ngorongoro Crater, the "Garden of Eden". With some luck you may even find the one of the most difficult Big 5 animals to spot: the endangered black rhino!
Day 9: Arusha (Breakfast)
Your safari adventure comes to an end. Immerse yourself once more in the Tanzanian culture with a village walk or mountain bike ride. Well in time your guide will take you to Kilimanjaro Airport for your international flight.
Or why not spend a few days extra for a well-deserved beach holiday in Zanzibar, Mafia or Pemba Island?
Kukummi Tip:
We recommend a minimum stay of 3 nights at your beach destination. Zanzibar is the largest and best known of the three islands, in particular for its tropical nature and exotic appearance. It is a mixture of multiracial and multicultural backgrounds, which makes Stone Town a fascinating historic center. The coast of Zanzibar has impressive beaches which offer plenty of opportunities for surfers, snorkelers, divers and sunbathers. Mafia Island boasts the most interesting marine ecosystem and coral reefs in the world, while Pemba is the most unspoiled destination.
